Corporate social responsibility

More than words

Natra’s commitment to CSR in 2020

Natra’s aim to enhance its contribution to society and its recognition as a responsible company materialised in June 2012, with the approval by the company’s Board of Directors of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) statement. This commitment, which is to be developed during an initial phase up to 2020, contemplates five major areas:

  • raw materials
  • environmental protection
  • people
  • society
  • healthy nutrition

Above all, Natra’s CSR objectives aim to be specific and realistic. In order to guarantee progress in this area, Natra has established not only specific targets, but also the deadlines by which they are to be met. Our current task is centred on collecting and consolidating information on Natra’s different facilities in order to put the commitment into practice. To carry out this work we count on the support of a skilled team that is highly-committed to this task.

As one of the first steps, Natra has adhered to the United Nations Global Compact, an international initiative that promotes the implementation in entrepreneurial activities of ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption. Global Compact is the largest voluntary corporate social responsibility initiative in the world. The following pages present Natra’s Board of Directors’ CSR statement and a description of the five areas of work and the commitments acquired up to 2020.
